SSCC Opening Day Event

The Friends of the South Shore Country Club partnered with Hingham Municipal Light Plant (HMLP) and Hingham Net Zero to host an Open House to celebrate the South Shore Country Club's progress towards environmental sustainability in Hingham.
Many friends young and old stopped by the new eco-friendly SSCC Turf Care Facility, while learning about sustainability and best practices from experts such as Jake Silva, SSCC Golf Superintendent, Brianna Bennett, Sustainability Coordinator for HMLP and John Borger from Hingham Net Zero.
All attendees received a free LED light bulb, information about energy efficiency from HMLP and access to free EV charging provided by Hingham Net Zero.
A special thank you to FSSCC Board member Murnie Leary who spearheaded the event and gave out Norway Spruce Seedlings donated by the Arbor Day Foundation.
